June Roundtable
June’s Writer’s Roundtable is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6 at the Paseo Verde Library’s Coffee Press cafe.
This month’s lead-off topic is “Contracts, Contracts, Contracts! (and Legal Terms Every Writer Should Ask About)”
WSN President Eric James Miller will discuss the different types of contracts and legal terms every working writer should be familiar with. This discussion promises to be informative, but informal. Everyone will have the chance to share their experiences and ask questions about the business aspects of being a working writer. As always, the conversation is likely to morph and evolve in different directions depending on what everyone brings to the table with their cup of joe, latte, or tea.
Free for WSN members, $5 for guests.
(if you have a subject you’d like to suggest for an upcoming Roundtable, please send it to nevadawriters (at) gmail (dot) com with the Subject “Roundtable Topic”)
Meet A Fireman: Anatomy of a 911 Call
The Las Vegas Writers Group is proud to present an evening presentation with local Las Vegas, active duty Fire & Rescue fireman Tim Symankski.
For any author working in the crime, mystery, thriller or romance genres this is a can’t miss opportunity to get Fire & Rescue command structure, terminology, codes and standard operating procedures in a variety of 911 scenarios correct in your writing!
So sharpen your pencils, check the ink in your pens, grab a notepad and come on down to the Tap House with your questions!
